Walking Down the Lane

I see
A reflection of me

Walking down the lane
of blame

Asking my past and looking at what I've done
And I every time I remember a sin, I run

I seek forgiveness from the Most Merciful, the Almighty
And I will try my best to pass the test and stick to piety

Taking another lane, the lane of hope
I wonder about the future and how it will be, it seems to me, a slippery slope

I won't worry too much, I really can't anymore
It's really not of much use--to knock on mystery's door

So I welcome optimism with strong legs as I tread its path
And fight worry's ugly, painful wrath...

Oh Allah help your weak servant, the servant writing this
And bless the readers with the Ferdous and endless bliss
